We took 6 hours to go 17 nautical miles and get through 4 locks.  We experienced new things today also, like we had to keep an eye on our depth, some spots were only 2 feet below the props and there were a few places where the channel had to be marked carefully because of rocks. It looks like someone slipped on the lock wall in the first picture.  I hope they were wearing gloves. I can&#8217;t believe I wanted to try anything that has the first syllable sounding like poo.  However, it was delicious.  There are different varieties, but they all have french fries as the base, some type of meat and\/or veggies, cheese and gravy. Both are delicious.  We learn that peameal is a kind of pork (like bacon) that&#8217;s cured then rolled in cornmeal.  Doug said that it tasted like Canadian bacon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another good day.  Tomorrow we will get to Peterborough and stay there a couple of days.
