Whew, what a day! We left the dock around 5:30 in the morning. We got out of the marina just fine but the Cape May Inlet was a little choppy. Once we were out in the ocean, things calmed down a bit. Now it’s time to settle in and enjoy a sunrise. NO WAY JOSE, as you can see from the picture, it wasn’t just cloudy, it was soupy cloudy (Jim Cantore has nothing on me, ha ha!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, soupy cloudy turned into a down right thick fog. But, we have quite a few devices and technologies to help us out. It was a little unnerving, but we made it through just fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We lost a little time getting to Hoffman’s marina with some problems with our dinghy, but Doug got all that worked out and we got there and settled in around 4. Really cool, there was a pretty big starfish on the dock piling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have dinner with two other looper couples. It’s really fun to hear about their adventures, where they’ve stayed and where to eat. I regret not getting a picture of my mahi-mahi rice bowl, but trust me, it was delicious. As you can see from the background of the picture above, still foggy. What’s that all about?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we walk back to the marina, we see that a train is coming and we all stop to watch it. Aren’t those the cutest little crosshatches??<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We watch as the train passes. You can see that it’s not going that fast and the wheels are RIGHT THERE! You know what we did right???<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You guessed it, we had to put a penny on the tracks. And boy was it flatter than a pancake. Turns out that putting a penny on the tracks does not derail a train, ha ha ha. That’s about all for today. If the weather cooperates, we’ll head for New York in the morning. Pray for safe travels! We love all of you guys and miss you terribly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
