Last day in Cambridge

We toured the lighthouse at the marina this morning. Although the one here is a replica, the lighthouse has in interesting history. It replaced a lightship in 1870, damaged (1881) and then destroyed (1918) by ice that was rumored to be around 30 feet tall, and it’s the only lighthouse on the Chesapeake Bay to have been replaced by another lighthouse. See the picture below. The rest of the day was spent doing routine maintenance and cleaning. We head to Annapolis in the morning and intend to stay for about a week.
