We started the day at the Naval Academy to watch the Blue Angels for their traditional fly by for graduation. We toured the grounds a little bit, but not too much. We’ll get a much better tour next week, more on that later.

After the Academy, we scootered on over to the Annapolis Maritime Museum. Packed full of interesting information. I guess I didn’t realize how large the Chesapeake is.

Because it’s lunchtime and we’re adults, we had ice cream! Boy was it good.

We then toured the Maryland State House, boy is that rich in history also. One of the things that interested me was this is the place where George Washington resigned his commission. Apparently as Washington read his resignation letter, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

This was on the wall at the State House. I am an American through and through, I love this plaque.
