Getting things done!

After breakfast and the weather meeting we decide it’s time to hit the grocery store. We get the scooters ready and off we go. We have an insulated backpack to put perishables in and a regular backpack for anything that won’t fit in the insulated one. Doug expertly crammed the insulated pack with most of the stuff in the picture. Even the bread made it home safely!

We had a visit from our friend at the other marina. He’s an expert on the paddle board. Note the dry clothes, very impressive!

One of the things we enjoy most is meeting other loopers and boaters. Most evenings, folks bring snacks to share and something to drink. The gathering is called “docktails.” It’s always great meeting new people; some are doing the loop, others just enjoy boating. There are funny stories, good advice and great snacks!

A lovely sunset for the day. Many of our friends are traveling tomorrow. They are going to try to get to New York in the next couple of days. We are going to stay put until early next week and then reassess what’s going on with the Erie Canal. We really like Cape May and there are still lots of things to do here.

We had leftovers on the boat tonight, alas, no food picture. We’ll strive to do better tomorrow, ha ha. Yikes, I just realized we have yet to hit an ice cream shop!

    Ice cream, ice cream!
So glad you’ve found such a neat place to hunker down for a while! Who knew it would be Exit Zero in New Jersey!
And, it looks like your food picture was the grocery store haul – wow, that’s gotta be 15-20 pounds! Nice work!

Are there cool things to see that are within travel range of the dinghy?

We love you guys and CJ. God bless you today and always!

It is very fitting that “Cap’n”Crunch is the cereal of choice for this boating adventure.😅
