A great way start to the day!

There’s a bakery across the street that’s only open on the weekends. The big seller is their sticky buns. Notice in the photo below, no sticky bun. We at that in the store, ha ha ha.

Oh, ignore the half eaten apple fritter, we gave that to our friend. No, really, we did!

We enjoyed the scooter ride so much we went again today and rode most of the path, about 3 miles. We went all over the place; a thrift store, Pets Mart and a Sketchers store. I got a pair of nautical looking slip in Sketchers, they are way comfy.

And finally, we stopped for a late lunch at a Chinese place. I got the sesame chicken and Doug got the General Tso’s chicken. It was surprisingly good!

The ride back to the boat was really windy. So, what do we do?? We had to stop at the top of the bridge for a selfie (I hope my mother doesn’t read this post, giggle giggle). The channel behind us is the Cape May Canal, we went through it to get to the marina.

We get back to the boat and notice in the distance what appears to be a storm on the way. There isn’t any rain in the forecast so maybe it’s just more spooky fog.

On a super positive note, the part of the Erie Canal that we need to go through is finally open! The red part is the western part of the Erie that we won’t do. So, we are looking forward to traveling north next week. We are going to try to get to New York by the weekend, maybe sooner, so stay tuned!
