More specifically Trenton, Ontario. The marina is really nice and everyone that works here is happy, friendly and helpful. We both slept in and after a cup of coffee, the first thing on my list is a shower, I mean a REAL shower. I’ve heard that the bathrooms and showers here are top notch and they weren’t kidding. As you can see from the picture you get your own room with your very own bathmat. The shower head is one of those water fall kind that is soooo relaxing. I could have spent the day in there!

This old clock tower was originally part of a post office built in 1888. The 90 foot high tower has 4 clock faces on it so you can see what time it is from all directions. It is now part of the Town Hall. It has really interesting architecture and has been designated a Heritage Landmark. I think Heritage Landmarks are similar to National Historical Landmarks in the United States.

We did a lot of exploring and walking around today. They are having a big festival here that started today and will run through the weekend. It was fun to walk around see the sights. There must be a military base nearby because this huge plane came around at least a dozen times practicing today. It was good practice for foul weather flying too. The picture looks nice, but we had sustained winds around 18mph with gust over 35mph today.

After doing some chores we walked over to the grocery store to stock up on some things before we hit the waterway tomorrow. Us and two other couples cooked out and had dinner at the marina picnic area. Again, fun to laugh at stories and share experiences.

We will be on the move again tomorrow. We hope to get through at least 6 locks and stop in Frankford. The weather looks good and we’ll travel with 3 other looper boats, which will be fun.
