We had a great weekend with family and friends. Spending time at our home church was a tremendous joy! Monday Doug spent some time with his church brothers building a ramp for one of our friends, then he came home and we did some running around. We took some time to see if I was safe to drive and although I won’t be driving anyplace by myself I feel comfortable driving with someone in the car, yay! Early Tuesday morning Mikki drove John to the house and we both said goodbye to our husbands. It was a sad but necessary way to start the week. Although staying home is the smart choice for me, it was tough to see them leave, it will be good to have them both back home again. They estimate it will take between 3 and 4 weeks to get back home.

Going through Toronto, Doug gets this shot of the setting sun. The wildfires have really impacted the atmosphere making for some pretty sunsets. I think the smoke is affecting a wide area with air quality alerts all along the Canadian border into the US.
