On the way home – Day 2

It looks like there was a scooter ride before heading out from Peterborough today. I can’t put my finger on it but there might have been a trip to Tim Horton’s, maybe.

All those pastries, so little time!

A quick look at the route and it’s time to hit the water again! John taking over the helm to give Doug a break.

Very narrow channel. Only one boat at a time please!

Another successful and long day. They went through 7 locks starting at lock 19, Scott’s Mills making all the way through to Campbellford, lock 13. Not as many locks as yesterday, but it was a very long distance, over 50 nautical miles (nm). There was pizza for dinner then time to get some rest, another good day on the water. Tomorrow will be a shorter day getting to Trenton but still locks, locks and more locks. Trenton is the last stop in Canada before going across lake Ontario and back into the United States.

They have been blessed with good weather and safe travels and have gone close to 100 nm in only 11 hours or so underway, a HUGE accomplishment. Please continue to pray for safety and good weather windows, especially when they are crossing lake Ontario

Safe travels on your trip home. At least you have been here before versus your trip up into the unknown. Stay safe and alert guys!
