In Mexico, many poor families do not have access to eye exams or eyeglasses when they are needed. These families struggle to have enough to eat and therefore cannot afford even a basic eye exam.  1-2-4 Project has provided mission trips to Puebla Mexico in which we have discovered many children are failing in school, not because they are not trying to learn, but because their vision is so bad they cannot see the blackboard clearly or read their books.  We have also encountered many adults, that for the same reasons, have trouble performing their job tasks and are at risk of losing their jobs.

Please consider helping us in providing eye exams, eyeglasses and basic sunglasses to those in need in Puebla Mexico.  There is also a high incidence of cataracts in Mexico due to the intensity of the sun.  We have seen many people that have cataracts at ages much younger than the normal age of 60 and over. In fact, we have seen some patients with cataracts in their twenties and thirties.  The best way to prevent cataracts is to educate the patient to wear sunglasses when outside in the sun to prevent their development.

Your one-time donation of just $25 will provide a basic eye exam, eyeglasses when indicated and sunglasses to prevent the onset of cataracts. Please click the Donate button below and donate $25 for as many patients as you desire to help.  Your gift is tax deductible.

The mother of the little girl below told of how her daughter was failing in school.  She had trouble seeing the blackboard clearly and had trouble reading her books.  She was unable to participate in class or do any homework. She told of how this situation caused her daughter to become embarrassed in school, she was made fun of for being “stupid”.  It is understandable that she did not want to go back to school.  A simple eye exam and eyeglasses solved her vision problems.  This was just one of many stories like this.
