We have a small checklist to go through that will take us to different places in Peterborough. We toured the city by taking the scooters on a bike path that reminded us of the Raleigh Greenway. We took the Rotary Greenway Trail to WalMart to get some printer ink and few other things.

After WalMart we go over to a place called Canadian Tire to just look around. When we started the Trent Severn we got an email from another looper with an attached bingo card. There are things to do and places to visit to check off on the card. You probably guessed it, a trip to Canadian Tire is on the bingo card; CHECK! We did go in and the store is a lot like a Rural King, fun place.

For lunch we stop at Tim Horton’s. We share a sandwich called a Supreme Stack; I’ve renamed it the Supreme Heart Attack. Why is it that the things that are probably the worst for you taste the best? Oh, Tim Horton’s is on the bingo card too; check.

Behind the marina is a really nice park with a dozen or so memorials to servicemen, first responders and memorable/important individuals in the community. I like the memorial in the picture above because it reminds me of the many people at home who served as first responders. We miss all of you very much.
We have one more day to see things in Peterborough. I think tomorrow we’re going to take a look at the Peterborough hydraulic lift lock, maybe a canoe museum and lastly try to get some more things at the grocery store. It also looks like the weather is going to get rough for a couple of days and we might try to extend our stay here if they have room, stay tuned.
